BK-02

How quickly do you reply?

Within 12 hours, by WhatsApp or email. A person from our team in Tangier reads and answers every message.

BK-03

How much does a private tour in Tangier cost?

Prices are per person. They start at $25 for the Tangier walking tour and $65 for the Tangier full day tour. Day trips start at $100 to Asilah, $120 to Tetouan, $120 to Larache and $150 to Chefchaouen. The price per person falls as your group grows, because the guide and the car are shared.

Compare the private tours

BK-04

Are prices per person or per group?

Per person, in US dollars, for a group of 4 guests, starting from the price shown on each tour. A smaller group pays more per person and a larger group less. Children pay half the adult price. Your written quote gives the exact price for your group, and that is the price you pay: we add no fees after you confirm.

BK-05

What is included in the price?

A licensed guide for your group and, on the tours by car, pick-up and drop-off in Tangier in an air-conditioned vehicle. The walking tour, the Anthony Bourdain tour and the shopping tour have no car: your guide meets you at Bab Kasbah, at your riad, the Grand Socco or another place in the old town, or at the port if you arrive by ferry or cruise ship. Each tour page lists the rest, such as entry fees, tastings or a meal. Extra meals, drinks, shopping and tips are not included.

BK-06

Can I change the itinerary?

Yes. Every tour is private, so the route, the pace, the start time and the length follow you. Tell us what you would like when you write, and your guide can still adapt the day as it goes.

BK-07

Is there a minimum group size? Can I come alone?

Private tours take any number of people, as long as you travel as a group. Travelling alone? You join a tour already planned on your date; if none runs that day, we suggest a date when one does. The cooking class is never shared: a solo guest has it privately, at the price of two guests. Groups of 11 or more pay a deposit of 40% of the agreed price to hold the date.

BK-08

Can I book at short notice?

Often, yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the date and your group, and we check which guide is free.

PYPayment and deposits

PY-01

Do I need to pay a deposit?

For most groups, no: you pay on the day. We ask for a deposit in three cases only. Groups of 11 or more on a private tour or a shore excursion pay a deposit of 40% of the agreed price to hold the date. Multi-day tours take a deposit of 40% of the price. Experiences we must book in advance for you, such as a boat, a hammam or entry tickets, take a deposit that covers what we book. Your quote always shows the amount.

Payment terms

PY-02

On the day of your tour, in cash (Moroccan dirham, euro, US dollar or pound sterling), by PayPal or by bank transfer.

PY-03

PY-04

CXCancellation and changes

CX-01

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before your tour. If you paid no deposit, you have nothing to pay whenever you cancel, but please tell us at least 48 hours before so your guide can plan. If you paid a deposit, it is refunded in full up to 48 hours before the tour; after that, or if you do not come, it is not refunded. Refunds go back by the method you used to pay.

Cancellation terms

CX-02

Can I change the date of my tour?

Yes, for free, as long as we can offer the new date.

CX-03

What happens if the weather is bad?

Tours run in light rain, and your guide reorders the day around covered places. If a storm, a port closure, a strike or an official restriction stops the tour, you choose between a new date and a full refund of anything you paid.

CX-04

What if my guide is ill?

We never cancel a tour ourselves. If your guide cannot make it, another licensed guide from our team takes your tour.

PTPrivate tours and day trips

PT-01

Are your tours private?

Yes. Your guide is for your group alone, whatever its size, and so is the car on the tours that use one (the walking tour, the Anthony Bourdain tour and the shopping tour are on foot). The one exception is a solo traveller, who joins a tour already planned on their date or on a date we agree together. The cooking class is never shared: a solo guest has it privately, at the price of two guests.

PT-02

Which tour is best for a first visit to Tangier?

The Tangier full day tour: the Kasbah, the Medina, Cap Spartel and the Caves of Hercules in one day. With only a few hours, take the walking tour. To see the blue city, take the Chefchaouen day trip.

A four-hour walk through the Tangier of Parts Unknown: the cafés, the market stalls and the Kasbah, with a fish lunch included, from $65 per person.

Anthony Bourdain tour

PT-06

Can I combine two cities in one day?

Tangier and Asilah, yes: that is a tour in its own right. Chefchaouen and Tetouan in one day is possible but rushed, so we usually suggest two separate days.

OD-01

Which languages do your guides speak?

English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Tell us your language when you write and we assign a guide who works in it.

What time do tours start?

Whenever suits you. For most tours we suggest 9 or 10 in the morning.

OD-03

Where does the tour start?

Tours by car start where you are: your hotel or riad, the cruise terminal, the ferry port, the airport or the train station in Tangier. In the medina lanes that cars cannot reach, your guide meets you at the nearest square or gate. Cruise passengers find their guide waiting inside the terminal with their name, and ferry passengers at the port exit. Pick-up at Tanger Med is possible for an extra fee. The walking tour, the Anthony Bourdain tour and the shopping tour are on foot, so no car. Your guide meets you at Bab Kasbah, the main gate of the Kasbah (we send you the location), or at your riad, the Grand Socco or another place in the old town that suits you. Arriving by ferry or cruise ship? We meet you at the port. Staying further out? We can send a car for a small extra cost. The walking tour starts at the top, at Bab Kasbah, and goes down into the old medina.

OD-08

No, you never have to buy anything. If you would like to shop, your guide helps you compare and agree a fair price. For shopping as the main event, there is a Tangier shopping tour.
