A full day ashore is enough to see Tangier properly and still sit down to lunch. This private full-day shore excursion runs from every Tangier port, Tangier Med included, and the transfer is built into the day. If your ship is in port for less than eight hours, the 4-hour Highlights excursion is the better fit.
You drive out to Cap Spartel and the Caves of Hercules, ride a camel along Achakkar Beach, then sit down to a traditional lunch before the Kasbah and the Old Medina. Mint tea at Petit Socco closes the day.

Lunch at a family-run restaurant we have worked with for years. Choose a tagine (chicken, lamb or vegetable), couscous or a seafood pastilla, with Moroccan salads, fresh bread, mint tea and seasonal fruit. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal meals are ready when you tell us at booking.

The Kasbah and its views
Up to the Kasbah, Tangier's old fortified citadel: the gates of the Sultan's Palace, white and blue alleys, and the viewpoint where, on a clear day, you can see Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar.
The labyrinth and the legend
Old Medina and Petit Socco
A relaxed walk through the Old Medina: spice souks, Berber weavers, hidden riads, and the American Legation if it is open. You finish at Petit Socco with a last mint tea, in the square where the Beat writers and the Rolling Stones used to sit.

How is the Full-Day different from the 4-hour Highlights tour?
The Full-Day includes everything in the 4-hour Highlights tour (Cap Spartel, the Caves of Hercules, the Kasbah, the Medina and Petit Socco) and adds two things: a camel ride on Achakkar Beach and a sit-down traditional Moroccan lunch at a family-run restaurant. The pace is also far more relaxed, with time for proper photo stops, browsing the souks and a real meal.
What is the lunch actually like?
A proper sit-down meal at a Medina restaurant we have worked with for years. You choose your main (chicken, lamb or vegetable tagine, couscous, or seafood pastilla), and the table comes with Moroccan salads, fresh bread, mint tea and seasonal fruit. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options are standard: just tell us when you book. Allow about 60 to 75 minutes for lunch.
Is the camel ride mandatory?
No. It is included in the price, and plenty of guests skip it to walk along the beach instead. There is no fee to skip it. Children love it; some adults prefer to take the photos. Your call on the day.
My ship docks at Tangier Med, not Tangier City. Does this tour still work?
Yes. Tangier Med is about 40 km from the city centre. We meet passengers there every week, and the drive time is built into the day's plan, so you lose no time and miss none of the stops.
What if my ship arrives late?
We follow your ship's real arrival time. If you are delayed, we move the start automatically and you pay nothing extra. If the delay is long, we shorten the itinerary, always keeping lunch and the main stops, and still get you back early.
