Cape Spartel and the Caves of Hercules

At Cape Spartel, the north-west tip of Africa, a lighthouse watches over the point where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. On the way, the road crosses Perdicaris Park, a pine forest above the ocean with wide views of the coast.

A little further south, the Caves of Hercules open onto the ocean through an opening shaped like the map of Africa. The camel ride is right next to them, on the beach, before the drive back to the city.

The Kasbah, the medina and the Grand Socco

Back in the city, the tour continues on foot, about 2 km with a few steps. The Kasbah, the old walled quarter, keeps its ramparts and the Kasbah Museum, which you enter only if you wish. The whitewashed lanes of the medina lead down to the Petit Socco, then to the Grand Socco, the big square where the old town meets the modern city.

Your guide tells the story of each place, shows you the souks and their spice stalls, and leaves you time for lunch in the medina (lunch is not included).
