Where do cruise ships dock in Tangier?

Ships call at Tangier City Port (Tanger Ville), beside the medina, at Tangier Med, about 40 km east of the city, and at Ksar Sghir and Tetouan. Your cruise line's schedule names the port. We meet ships at all of them and plan the drive into your day.

What can I do in Tangier on a cruise stop?

It depends on your hours in port. With 5 to 6 hours, the 3-hour walking tour of the medina and the Kasbah; with 6 hours, the Tangier highlights; with 7 hours, Asilah or Tetouan; with 8 hours or more, the full day with Cap Spartel, the Caves of Hercules and a camel ride; with about 10 hours, Chefchaouen.

Will I get back to the ship on time?

Yes. Every shore excursion ends at the port at least an hour before all-aboard. Thousands of cruise passengers have toured Tangier with us, and none has missed the ship.

What if my ship arrives late?

We track your ship's real-time arrival, not the brochure schedule, and your guide meets you when you come off. If a late arrival shortens your time in port, the day is shortened too, so you are still back at the port an hour before all-aboard.

How do we pay? Is a deposit required?

Most bookings need no deposit and no prepayment. You confirm your shore excursion by message and pay on the day of the tour, after you meet your guide at the port: in cash (US dollars, euros, pounds sterling or Moroccan dirhams), by PayPal or by bank transfer. Groups of 11 or more pay a deposit of 40% of the agreed price to hold the date: it is refunded in full if you cancel up to 48 hours before, and not refunded for a later cancellation or a no-show.

Can we change the itinerary?

Yes. Every shore excursion is private: skip the camel ride, spend longer in the medina or add a cooking class. Tell us when you book, or on the day with your guide.
