Who we are
Who Is Tour Guide Tangier?
Tour Guide Tangier is a tour company in Tangier, Morocco, with a team of 10 licensed tour guides. It was co-founded by Fadi Bennani, a licensed guide (licence 3797) who plans every trip and still guides on busy days, and is registered in Morocco as Tour Guide Tanger.
We guide Tangier private tours and day trips to Chefchaouen, Tetouan, Asilah and Larache; private shore excursions for cruise passengers; a food tour, a cooking class and a photography excursion; and private multi-day tours across Morocco, from one night in Chefchaouen to 21 days through the imperial cities, the Sahara and the south. Our own fleet, from comfortable cars to Sprinter vans, carries groups of every size, and partner hotels and riads across Morocco welcome our multi-day guests.
Every tour is private, with a guide for your group alone, in English, French, Spanish or Arabic.

For more than seven years, Fadi Bennani has welcomed people who have never seen Tangier, at the port, at the ferry or at the door of a riad, and watched the city win them over, one lane at a time.
He is one of the founders of Tour Guide Tangier and the tour operator who plans every trip. A licensed guide himself, he still guides on busy days, when the team needs support.
Around him the company has grown into a team of 10 licensed guides, a fleet of vehicles from comfortable cars to Sprinter vans for every group size, and partner hotels and riads across Morocco. A morning in the medina and ten days to the Sahara are looked after with the same care.

How we work
Six Promises We Keep on Every Tour
A licensed guide, always
Every tour is led by a licensed guide from our team. If your guide cannot make it, another licensed guide takes your tour, so we never cancel on you.
Your group, and only yours
Every tour is private: your guide is for your group alone, so the pace, the stops and the start time follow you, and nobody joins you unless you agree.
No deposit for most groups
Private tours and shore excursions need no deposit for most groups: you pay on the day, in cash, by PayPal or by bank transfer. We ask for a deposit only from groups of 11 or more, on multi-day tours and for experiences we must book in advance for you.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours
Cancel up to 48 hours before your tour and you owe nothing, and any deposit comes back in full. Changing your date is free when we can offer the new one.
Back at your ship in time
On a shore excursion we plan your return to the cruise terminal at least 60 minutes before all-aboard, and we follow your ship's real arrival time if it is late.
No pressure to buy
In the souks your guide helps you understand, compare and agree a fair price. You never have to buy anything.

At your hotel or riad, the port, the airport or the train station in Tangier. Tours on foot meet at Bab Kasbah, your riad, the Grand Socco or the port.

Where are you based?
In Tangier, where our team works, at Villa Fadi, Av. Moulay Rachid, Tangier 90000, Morocco. Everything is arranged online, so there is no office to visit: your guide meets you at your hotel or riad, the port, the airport or the train station. For the tours on foot (the walking tour, the Anthony Bourdain tour and the shopping tour), we meet at Bab Kasbah, at your riad, the Grand Socco or another place in the old town, or at the port if you arrive by ferry or cruise ship.
Which languages do your guides speak?
English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Tell us your language when you write and we assign a guide who works in it.
Do you only guide in Tangier?
Tangier is our base. We also guide day trips to Chefchaouen, Tetouan, Asilah and Larache, and multi-day tours across Morocco, including Fes, Marrakech and the Sahara.
Can I book a tour if I travel alone?
Yes, you can book a tour if you travel alone: a solo traveller joins a tour already planned on their date if that group agrees, and we confirm once it has; you pay the per-person price for two guests. If no tour runs that day, we suggest a date when one does. The cooking class and the photography excursion are never shared: a solo guest has them privately, at the price of two guests.
