On the tours by car we collect you from your hotel or riad, the cruise terminal, the Tangier Ville ferry port (for the boats from Tarifa), the airport or the train station, whichever fits your plans; pick-up at Tangier Med is possible for an extra fee.     Asilah

    A small white town on the Atlantic, inside Portuguese ramparts. Every summer an arts festival paints new murals through the medina, so the walls change from year to year. Quiet, photogenic, and easy to combine with the coast road south from Tangier.

    A fishing town on the Atlantic where the Loukkos river meets the ocean, with the Roman ruins of Lixus on the hill outside it. Spanish until 1956, it still has the oval plaza, the market hall and the cafés to show for it.

When to come, and how to get here

The best months

April to June and September to early November are the best of it: warm, dry and comfortable for walking. July and August are hot in the city and busy on the coast, though Chefchaouen stays cooler in the mountains. Winter is mild and green, with some rain, and the medinas are almost empty.

Getting to Tangier

The ferry from Tarifa takes about an hour and lands at Tangier Ville, in the city. Tangier Ibn Battouta airport is 15 km out. The Al Boraq high-speed train reaches Casablanca in a little over two hours and Rabat in ninety minutes. Cruise ships dock at Tangier Ville or Tangier Med, 45 km east, and we meet both.
